By Larry A. Ledford I purchased this lens to use on my E-520 and I was surpised at the compactness of this lens. I took photos at a circus and a wedding so far and I am impressed with the sharpness of the images. It could easily be carried as a prime lens for travel, especially if you are outdoors. It does hesitate some on focusing in very low light situations. Overall what a deal for great Olympus optics at $100 from Amazon. It is well worth the price.  By C. Kearney (Old Bridge, NJ) I like this lens a lot. It is relatively small and lightweight so it is a perfect compliment to my Olympus E-420 body. The photos are sharp and properly exposed. Autofocus works for me but I don't really challenge it with fast moving subjects or very low light photography. The combination works very well for travel and casual photography. It's a great lens for the money. By Derek D. Myles (Boise, Idaho) As all Olympus Zuiko lenses, the quality is unsurpassed. As all Olympus equipment, it takes effort to find the sweet spot - something I've learned over time since 1978 when I started shooting with Olympus equipment (OM-2). This lens (regarding focusing issues) as many telephoto lenses works best in Aperature Priority (A) mode which gives command over a greater range of focus (depth of field) at higher numbers (i.e. 22 has greater depth than the max aperature opening of 5.6 at 150mm). Even in bright light outdoors, it's difficult to get this lens (I'm shooting on an E620) to push above F9 - something to consider in favor of Aperature Priority mode. By Bob As a life long -mostly amature- photographer, I know camera value when I use it. Optically, this lens has very good clarity, resolution, color correction and contrast. Images are printable to 8x10 without noticable loss of quality. Images processed for web use or email snap out on the monitor. It is the smallest 300mm (35mm equivalent) lens I know, yet the controls are easy to manipulate. Con: The plastic barrel, rings and mounts feel like ...plastic. Oh Well. The quality of construction seems as good as or better than any other lens in this price range. I highly recommend this lens. By J.
