 "Zuiko 70-300mm lens" 2010-07-16
By Suncarelab
Great lens at a good price. One caveat: Your camera must have a compatible firmware version. The lens wouldn't work and I almost returned it, but called the seller, who sent me to the Olympus website for a download. Both the seller (Portable Guy) and Olympus were very helpful in resolving the problem.

"Good lens for the Zero budget photograper" 2010-07-11
By logicalnonsense (Oklahoma City, OK)
I am a novice photographer and this lens is just outside my budget for this hobby but I did it anyway. The lens is a little on the heavy side but bearable, The focus is slow in lower light so manual focus is recommended and with the Olympus E420 I have I can manual focus the lens and the camera I can leave on auto focus and that makes the distant objects a little easier to photgraph.

I have gotten some really good shots with this lens so far and as long as you aren't trying to sell the images they look awesome your friends and family will be amazed. With the lens auto focus and the camera auto focus and the live view it is pretty difficult to find a good shot but use the eye cup viewer and it's easy to find your shot. And very importantly no matter what the light level if you want a shot that can be zoomed in on when you are editing the picture than you will want to place it on a stationary surface or device. I took a picture of a car some 150 feet away to see the license plate and it took me 4 shots and the last propped against a fard surface to get the plate clear enough to read, however the final shot was as clear a if the car was at the end of my driveway reading it.

Good lens for the lumper who works hard for his money but don't expect it to make you money.

 "problems with returns" 2010-06-12
By Robert Teasdale (Ballarat, Victoria, AU)
As you are aware I bought this lens but unfortuneately it was faulty and had to be returned it. I asked for a replacement lens but was told by Amazon staff that the item was out of stock and that they would reimburse me on the return of the purchase.Looking on your site later on I noticed that it was still being sold. I contacted Amazon via your live chat site to ask why and was told it was another company selling the item through Amazon and that they would still reimburse me.It cost $33.00 AUD to return a product that was faulty from the start. Surely that cost should be yours as the product was faulty and the fact that I was not able to place another lens on back order as a replacement really was poor form. I will probably buy my lens through another organisation now as I am a bit gun shy of Amazon after sales support. The bottom line is it cost me $33.00AUD not to buy the lens
Regards
Rob Teasdale.

P.S. I will be convinced otherwise.

"Excellent lens for the Olympus E-410!" 2010-06-05
By Clara E. Carrasco (Ponce, PR, USA)
This lens is bit heavy, but that increases the stability of the camera. It is very simple to connect and to use. I enjoy the autofocus which can be changed to manual focus. The pictures are clear, with high resolution. Certainly I reccommend it as a best buy.
I do not know why it was not sent directly to Puerto Rico for it is the same USPS as to any of the states. I had it sent to my daughter in NC and then she forwarded it to PR via USPS.
